Storix creates system backup (also known as bare-metal or disaster recovery software) for Linux, AIX, and Solaris. This means that we not only back up the data on the system, but the entire operating system (OS) as well. This allows you to get your ENTIRE system back. So in the case of a disk failure, you could buy a blank hard drive and reinstall everything back without having to pull out the install cds to install the operating system first.

We are not the only ones that do this. However, we are one of the few that can allow you to reinstall from your backup onto completely different hardware. For example, let's say you were running Linux on a Dell and it burns up in a fire; you could reinstall everything onto a new HP system that you just purchased. Most all of our competitors would require that you go out and buy the EXACT same model of Dell server you had before the disaster occurred. This makes Storix System Backup Administrator unique.

The "truth" of our software is that we save you time by being able to restore everything as before without having to reinstall the operating system first. Then we also provide flexibility to restore onto dissimilar hardware. We under that any downtime for you is typically a huge money loss. The faster, easier, more flexible, the better.
